For years now one cause that has always been particularly important to us is fighting hunger. That is why we are so pleased to announce that our 11th Annual Richard Purkey Memorial Golf Tournament was such a success in raising funds for the Southeast Texas Food Bank.
About the Annual Richard Purkey Memorial Golf Tournament
STI Group’s founder, Richard Purkey, believed strongly in doing the right thing for those in need. Thus, it is fitting that our annual memorial golf tournament honors his legacy by donating proceeds to the food bank. This year’s event raised $25,000 for the Southeast Texas Food Bank. Because of the phenomenal job the organization does in stretching every dollar and making the most of each donation, that $25,000 will be enough to provide about 100,000 meals for hungry Texans!
A Special Word of Thanks
As always we want to take a moment to thank all the generous individuals that participated in the event or worked to make it possible. This year attendees also had to battle some fierce winds and the threat of rain to play, but everyone was up to the challenge and the event went smoothly and proved to be a great time for everyone involved.
