QUALITY ASSURANCE

STI Group is seeking full-time quality control inspectors. Job candidates will need to have a minimum or five years’ experience as a Quality Inspector, have a deep understanding and knowledge of welding, construction, and industrial fabrication will be necessary as well as an eye for detail. Quality control inspectors will need to work closely and cooperatively with coworkers to correct defects and improve quality when identified. You must have a CWI certification and have a Level II Certification in Dye Penetrant is inspection.  You will be required to Inspect all pipe and structural steel welds, Bolt-up/Torque, Witness Pressure Tests, Schedule NDE, inspects piping systems for turnover, prepare turnover packages with review from the Client QA Inspector along with having computer skills in Blue Beam, Excel, Microsoft word along with others.  You must be knowledgeable of ASME/AWS Codes and standards (B31.3, 31.1, D1.1).

Shop Combo Pipe Welder

STI Group is seeking full-time pipe welders for fabrication projects in our shops in the Golden Triangle area. We offer competitive pay based on experience with overtime available.  Job candidates should be experienced welders who are hard working, committed to quality performance, and able to weld in TIG (GTAW) process on pipe.  Welders must be proficient in setting up and operating welding machines, maintaining the arc length and speed, and ensuring penetration depth and fusion.

Shop Structural Welder (Flux-Core)

STI Group is seeking full-time Structural Welders to able to perform shop fabrication projects. We offer competitive pay based on experience with overtime available. Job candidates should be experienced welders who are hard working, committed to quality performance, and able to weld in 3g, 4g positions on 1″ plate. Structural welders must be proficient in setting up and operating arc welding machines or welding guns along the weld line, maintaining the arc length and speed, and ensuring penetration depth and fusion.

Sheet Metal Worker

STI Group is seeking full-time sheet metal workers for our Bridge City, TX shop facility. Successful job candidates will need to be able to lay out, fabricate, assemble and install sheet metal parts, products, and equipment according to project requirements. Sheet Metal Workers will further need to be able to read and understand blueprints and shop drawings. Sheet Metal Workers will need to be competent working with a full variety of different materials such as carbon steel, stainless steel, galvanized iron, and aluminum.

Civil Carpenter

STI Group is seeking full-time civil carpenters in the Port Arthur, TX area.  Job candidates must be proficient in studying and reading blueprints, structural plans, and sketches. Civil carpenters must be able to prepare layouts with grades and lines, shape materials to required measurements, assemble, fasten, and cut materials, fabricate and install framework or partitions, and work in all required settings including at ground level, in elevations, or below ground as needed. Experience, ability to pass drug tests and background checks, and authorization to work within the US are all required. Civil carpenters will need to work within OSHA safety regulations as well as according to safety guidelines set by the client or supervisor.  Please list NCCER Certification in “training & licenses” section of application.

Shop Structural Fitter

STI Group is seeking full time Structural Fitters for our Vidor shop facility.  We offer competitive pay based on experience with overtime available. Job candidates should be experienced fitters who are hard working, committed to quality performance.  Structural Fitters will be positioning, aligning, fitting and welding parts to form completes units or sub-units. They will be following blueprints and layout specs and using jigs, welding torches and hand tools.  Structural Fitters will be required to Tack-weld fitted parts together.
